Catering

Thank you for considering Hobbit for you upcoming event!  This is an overview of some of the most often catered items that we offer as a place to start, we hope it will answer some general questions for you.

Our most commonly catered items are Wing Platters, Chicken Fingers, Veggie Platters, Greek Salad Platters, Grilled Chicken Salad Platters, Turkey Bacon Club Platters, and Cuban Platters, and Chicken Wrap Platters, although we can cater just about any menu item that we offer.  Some travel better than others of course.  The amounts you should order will depend greatly on the number of dishes being offered and in what capacity.  For instance, we recommend 10 wings per person as a main dish served with one side, or 5 wings per person as a protein option on a buffet style dinner, or 2-3 wings per person if they are being offered on an horderves buffet. Here is some basic pricing to consider:

Due to the rising cost of wings, the lowest price available is the standard menu price, unless you are ordering for pick up on one of our 99¢ Wing Special Days (Thursdays).  Our current menu price for 50 Boneless wings is $51.99, and 100 Boneless wings is $101.99.  Our current menu price for 50 Traditional wings is $61.99, and 100 Traditional wings is $118.99.

Chicken Fingers = About $1.50 each, but that's subject to market pricing and can be lower at times throughout the year. For a buffet style we always suggest having them cut in half.  They're a little more "bite size" that way, and you get more bang for your buck (2 for $1.50).  12oz sides of Honey Mustard, BBQ or Ranch are $4.99 each.  

Veggie Platter = $36

This platter includes our hand cut carrots and celery, and a 12oz dressing of your choice.  We are happy to include broccoli, and grape tomatoes upon request, with 24 hours notice for no extra charge.

Any Style Salad Platter = $48

Portioning recommendations are 5-7 per platter as a main course dinner, and 8-15 per platter in a buffet line with other food. Salad patters (House, Greek, or Caesar) can be made without the protein topping for $25.

Chicken Caesar Wrap Platters = $75 

This platter comes with 30 half wraps with 30 sides of Caesar dressing on a platter, we recommend one per person on a buffet line.

Chicken Club Wrap Platters = $90 

This platter comes with 30 half wraps with 30 sides of Ranch dressing on a platter, we recommend one per person on a buffet line. The wraps are made with grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, shredded cheddar, and bacon.

Turkey Bacon Club Platters = $63

This platter comes with 28 sandwich quarters, we recommend one per person on a buffet line with other food.  The Turkey Bacon Club is a triple decker sandwich made with turkey, bacon, American cheese, lettuce, tomato and may traditionally, though often we serve the mayo on the side or omit it entirely to extend the platters hold time.  This sandwich is plated on the platter in quarters.   

Cuban Platters = $63

This platter comes with 28 sandwich quarters, we recommend one per person on a buffet line with other food.  The Cuban is a pressed hoagie sandwich with ham, salami, pulled pork, swiss cheese, deli mustard and pickles.  We cut the sandwich into quarters for buffet style portioning.  

 Hobbit Hoagie Sandwich Platter = $65

These 24 piece platters are done with cut hoagies made with your choice of ham or turkey for the protein, and American, Provolone, Swiss, Pepper Jack, or Cheddar for the cheese.   We dress them with lettuce and tomato and include mayo and mustard packets for your guests.  We are happy to include pickle chips or onions on the sandwiches upon request for no extra charge. We recommend one piece per guest on a buffet line.

We do offer 1/2 Pans of Cole Slaw ($20) and 1/2 Pans of Mac n Cheese ($35) for catering.  We do not recommend French fries for catering since they do not maintain crispiness well when traveling.
